Clean image quality is provided with a wide expandable sensitivity range on a 24.2MP Exmor CMOS sensor and BIONZ X image processor. Videographers benefit from the variety of frame rates ranging from 1-120 fps which can be captured in Full HD with use of the included S&Q (Slow & Quick) Motion setting. The a6500 also benefits still shooters with processing speeds which enables continuous shooting at 11 fps for up to 301 JPEGs in a burst, as well as 14-bit raw file output. For slower shutter speeds the 5-axis Steady Shot INSIDE image stabilization minimizes the appearance of camera shake. The camera also uses 4D FOCUS, which has 425 point phase-detection system for quick focusing performance. It is also enabled with High-density Tracking AF to track moving objects across the image frame.
