Hummus of Spiced Chickpeas by Il Nutrimento is a typical Middle Eastern preparation, a delicious and velvety cream with a persistent flavor that combines the delicate taste of chickpeas with the pungent one of tahini (sesame cream) and lemon juice. This preparation is excellent served on crackers and croutons or to accompany fresh raw vegetables. To enhance the taste, add chopped fresh parsley. It may contain traces of peanuts, celery and nuts, namely: almonds (Amygdalus communis L.), hazelnuts (Corylus avellana), walnuts (Juglans regia), cashew nuts (Anacardium storico), pecan nuts [Carya illinoinensis (Wangenh.) K. Koch], Brazil nuts (Bertholletia excelsa), pistachios (Pistacia vera), macadamia nuts or Queensland nuts (Macadamia ternifolia). Store at room temperature. Once opened, cover with oil and refrigerate, use in 4/5 days.
