The Canon EOS 1Dx is the flagship sport-and-action DSLR from Canon. It has an 18.1MP full-frame CMOS sensor and can shoot at a blazing 12 fps with full AF (optional 14 fps with mirror-up, shooting JPEG). The 61-point AF system is the most accurate to date, complete with its own menu tab full of advanced options. It has a standard ISO range of 100-51,200, and it boasts the lowest measured noise of any EOS camera made. The 100K-pixel RGB metering sensor ensures accurate color and exposure for both video and stills. On the video side, the 1Dx records 1080p at 24/25/30 fps as well as 720p at 50/60 fps. It has in-camera audio-level adjustment, timecode embedding, expanded clip length of 30 minutes, and two compression methods (ALL-I and IPB) for optimum quality. The enlarged 3.2" 1,040K-dot TFT LCD greatly improves image review and live-view recording, while the 100% viewfinder with overlay allows for highly customizable viewing. The 1Dx has two CF-slots, and while it comes with the higher-capacity LP-E4N battery, it’s still backwards-compatible with previous LP-E4 batteries.
